Camera and Photo Library
Camera access is used to take specimen photos and scan mineral labels. Photo library access is used only when you choose to import a photo from your device.
If access is not working, open iOS Settings, find My Mineral Collection, and confirm that Camera and Photos permissions are enabled. You can still enter specimen and label details manually if you do not grant photo access.
OCR
For best label scanning results, place the mineral label inside the scan frame, use good lighting, and retake the photo if the text is blurry or tilted.
iCloud Sync
If sync is unavailable, confirm that you are signed in to iCloud and that iCloud Drive is available on your device. Network availability and iCloud account status may affect sync.
Deleting Records
You can delete specimen records from the collection view or delete local records from Settings. Review deletion prompts carefully before confirming.
